I have another wonderful board book for you that will be so fun to read over and over again because you and your little reader(s) will have so much fun with it!

Hey There, Blue Bird, Why Do You Chirp? by Sue Irwin (I know her!), published by B&H Kids, illustrated by Agnieszka Wajda is a wonderful book for littles ones who love sounds. Especially animal sounds.

When our oldest was about 2 years old, to keep her from falling asleep in the car, we would ask her, "What does a [insert type of animal here] say?" She would reply with the whatever that sound was. It would have been awesome to have had this book because it goes through so many types of animals, their sound, it promotes color recognition, and teaches a much bigger purpose to all those things - it all, all of creation, praises God.

Hey There, Blue Bird is a simple board book to read aloud and will be a wonderful for your babies to ages 5 or 6? I don't like putting age labels on books. Books that promote truth, goodness, and beauty - like this one - are for all. The illustrations are light, gentle, and very pretty.

Sue writes a sweet story, almost a call and response type story, which is why it's so special. The tone is Sue's voice. I've gotten to know Sue through Write2Ignite writing sessions and, yes, she is kind, gentle, lovely...the book is her and she is her book. I'm so thankful to be her B&H Kids publishing sister.
